The 600cc distributor rotates the opposite direction to later ones so finding replacements is quite difficult. The distributor retrieved from the garage floor was in a terrible state and it was clear that replacing the condenser and points was just not going to work. The unit was sent to Distributor Doctor for a full strip down, clean and rebuild.
The 600cc engine went through a number of changes. One of which saw the distributor lowered. These units have a shorter shaft and a butterfly connection instead of a groove.
The spare later 600cc dizzy will come in use when I buy another spare engine.
